Congratulations to all the Short Films Animation Oscar nominees and "War is Over! Inspired by the Music of John and Yoko", the winner of this year's category! The poignancy of each film and the visual experimentation across all films is truly inspiring. We've added stills below to give you a sense of each film's visual style and links to "making of" videos that walk through each film's unique production process. Some films were very intentional about their initial design and others developed a look and feel through the production process. All films tackled challenging life issues like the aging process, how uniforms impact our identity, and generational trauma.

We've also provided links to streams and/or viewings for each film. The teams behind each film did an amazing job of staying true to an independent vision that, in the end, provides us a fresh, new perspective on issues that are challenging to communicate without art.
